7Am around 500 of the Muslims in Uddevalla stand in front of the mosque and perform the Eid prayer.
It means the celebration after Ramzan for me. Says Naima, one of the kids in Dalbari.
What is the most exciting part of Eid for you?
I think the prayers we do. And seeing all these people congregate here is an amazing feeling. Says Muhamad, one of the men who had just finished praying.
How do you feel about this beautiful gathering here?
I can say I’m the happiest person to be here because I’m a new Muslim and this is my first Eid as a muslim and I can’t even describe all this feeling in words. It simply feels home. Says Anna, Swedish Muslim.
Not only pray while the mosque has prepared sandwiches, drinks and activities for the kids so they could have fun too. Not just for one day but for three consecutive days. But you don’t have to be Muslim to join, so what are you waiting for the first day is already over.
